Barbara Bentley grew up in Northern California in a middle-class, blue collar town.  She graduated summa cum laude with a BS in
Marketing and was the Outstanding Undergraduate of the Business School at Golden Gate University.   When Bentley decided to write A

persistence, she would go on to change the no-fault divorce law of California.  What she did realize was that she needed to learn how to
write.  She read books, joined writing organizations,  and attended writing workshops.

Bentley willingly shares her experience whenever the opportunity arises.  She is a motivational speaker who has spoken to audiences
numbering from ten to five hundred for such diverse organizations. Bentley’s story generates public interest and was featured on the 2003
Lifetime Television show FINAL JUSTICE hosted by Erin Brockovich.  On June 7, 2009, she was featured on DATELINE NBC and her
hour segment was called "The Years of Living Dangerously."  Her story has also been filmed by a Canadian production company for THE
DEVIL YOU KNOW series and a Washington, DC, company for the WHO THE BLEEP DID I MARRY SERIES.  The shows air

Bentley believes she is one person who can make a difference.  It is only by continuing exposure of the psychopath’s techniques that the
public can protect themselves from becoming another victim.  Bentley could never have imagined her recovery would be so hard won, or
that a psychopath would be so hard to lose.
