ADVOCATE FOR VICTIMS:
While on vacation, Deborah Alessi, co-founder of Face Forward, read my book A DANCE WITH THE DEVIL: A TRUE
STORY OF MARRIAGE TO A PSYCHOPATH. She was impressed with my advocacy and told her PR person that she
wanted to have me on the Honorary Committee that also includes the actress, Jaclyn Smith, The Honorary Committee is listed
under Board on the revised Face Forward web page. The charity rebuilds the faces of women and children deformed by domestic
or gang violence. The 3rd Annual Gala was held on Sept. 15, 2012, at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. Tom Arnold graciously did a
photo op with me at the VIP reception. The next gala will be held on September 28, 2013.
PSYCHOPATHY:
The Huffington Post said that my book A Dance with the Devil: A True Story of Marriage to a Psychopath is one of the five
books to read to spot a psychopath in your life. I feel blessed to get this acknowledgement. READ THE ARTICLE. I have
always felt A Dance with the Devil: A True Story of Marriage to a Psychopath should be required reading in psychology classes
and family therapist training, and in the education of officers of the court (judges and lawyers). My dream is finally coming true.
First, a psychologist friend recently attended a seminar on Emotional Manipulation of Women by Dr. Fogarty. He talked about
my book and it is on his Recommended Reading list. Second, a Florida psychologist contacted me to say that she is presenting a
seminar in Chicago to international judges and lawyers. One of her slides discusses my book and law. The psychologist also
asked for a statement of what I would like her to relay to the attendees as a message from me.
ADVOCATE FOR LAW IMPROVEMENT:
I was directly responsible for the passage of Assembly Bill 16 and detailed the process in my book A DANCE WITH THE
DEVIL: A TRUE STORY OF MARRIAGE TO A PSYCHOPATH. Seventeen years later I was back in Sacramento supporting
Crystal Harris in her bid to amend my law to include the crime of spousal rape. I wrote letters & attended meetings in the
Assembly and Senate supporting AB 1522. It passed out of both houses and the governor signed it into law. Congratulations,
Crystal!
SECOND BOOK PUBLISHED:
I am pleased to announce that my second book THE LITTLE BOOK OF SUCCESS: TURN YOUR DREAMS INTO
REALITY WITH FOUR SIMPLE TOOLS is now available in print and electronic formats. While writing my first book I
discovered that I had used four simple tools throughout my life to create success after success. Lessons learned are lessons to be
shared. Using four everyday examples from my life, I created a book that illustrates how passion, planning, patience, and
persistence turned my dreams into reality. This little book will help you do the same.
TV SHOWS:
My story has now been filmed for Dateline NBC, The Devil You Know series (produced by a Canadian company for an hour
long show, then sold to the Investigation Discovery channel in the U.S. in a half-hour format), and the half-hour series Who
the Bleep Did I Marry?. You can catch reruns of all three either on TLC and Investigation Discovery or The Learning
Channel. I have also signed an option with a screen writer/producer for a possible TV movie. So far there have been no takers
